About This Project
Banjo and Ro have taken on a massive project to restore a crumbling old mansion into a grand hotel. Edinburgh Windows and Doors Ltd were thrilled when Banjo approached us to provide timber sash and case windows for the development.
We have manufactured 6 beautiful sash and case windows from a mix of redwood timber and sapele hardwood. The windows were transported to the island via van for a total 6 hour trip which included two ferries and were then taken individually over to the island on a small boat, from there a horse box was used to make the final half mile to the property via mud paths.
Both directors of the company personally made the trip to ensure the windows were fitted perfectly and on time. Spending two days on the island fitting the windows and completing all the external and internal finishings.
We look forward to working on the project going forward. Look out for Banjo and Ro on the BBC at the start of 2026 where the team may also make a short appearance.
